<reviewbody>I very much enjoyed this show. I had never heard of Hot Jazz Caravan but took a chance based on the band's name, and I'm glad I did. The music is excellent, and so is the quality of the recording.</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>My Goodness I sure enjoyed this show. You never know what you will find when you just look around on this site and try for something new. These people are great, and turned what was a down day into a big smile. I sure wish I lived near where they were playing, because I sure would be there, and bring a bunch of people to hear this lively talent! Thank you for making my day a good one.</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>This is a joy to listen to. The mics are so close and the acoustics so familar (we all know the H.S. Auditorium sound) you can hear feet shuffle and toes tap. Off mic becomes on-mic. The clarinet makes it, man, really makes it. The humor is genuine, the arrangements are creative, and they can all PLAY. The only gripe I can come up with is the vocals are too buried because of the mics' proximity, but then, it wouldn't be so intimate and hot. On some passages, you can hear the stage vocals over the PA anyways...
I can't help but be reminded of all those summer park gigs my Grandparents had to drag me to as a 10 yr old. I wish I'd paid more attention, but I still have most of these songs stuck in my head after all these years.
This recording is going on my next road trip and when I say 'swing' into town: I mean it.</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>I was searching the LMA to find other bands who perform the song "Caravan" and I ran across this. FANTASTIC playing! Great recording (although I'll agree I want to hear vocals better!!). You truly do not know what you'll find around here. Great band! Hope to hear more of them.</reviewbody>

This is a remarkable and fun recording for a HS auditorium.

If you like it check out Hot Club of Cowtown. Much of the same personel. I think this was done while HCoCT was broken up. They have since regrouped, which is an interesting story itself.</reviewbody>
